Soundtrack from Valieva's "The Word of a Boy" and Samsonov's "Super Mario": what were the memorable performances in the Czech Republic?

Traditionally, exhibition performances have become a kind of cherry on the cake of the Russian Championship. Fans always look forward to this event with special interest, in which figure skaters delight with unusual and bright performances. And this time there were no vacant seats at the stadium in Chelyabinsk. Absolutely all tickets were sold. Athletes who got into the top 5 in each discipline had to demonstrate their performances.

The show was preceded by an award ceremony, after which all the winners took a joint photo. Only Pyotr Gumennik, who took the third position among men, was absent. The organizers attributed this to health problems. But even despite them, the athlete found the strength to go out on the ice.

"After training, he felt unwell, we were waiting for the doctor to give a conclusion. After that, it was decided that he would participate," the press service of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) explained to reporters.

And already one of the first performances literally made the fans get up from their seats. Young Daniil Samsonov appeared on the set in the image of a character from the famous computer game Mario. He wore blue overalls, a red shirt, and a red cap. He put a mustache on his face.

The athlete threw off his hat almost immediately, as it interfered with his skating. At the same time, in the first part of the performance, he showed various movements used in the game. Then there was a place for more familiar jumps. In the end, Daniil tore off his overalls, showing the inscription: "Super Danik".

Anna Frolova performed a program to Elena Vaenga's composition "Chopin". Before she started skating, she even ran her fingers over the keys of an imaginary grand piano to show a subtle sense of music. By the way, another song of this singer - "Snow" - was chosen by Adelia Petrosyan.

But Sofia Leontyeva and Daniil Gorelkin performed to the hit "Million Voices" by Polina Gagarina, with the English version of which she took second place at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.

There was also a place for more serious sensual numbers. For example, Dmitry Aliyev wore an all-black suit. Natalia Khabibullina and Ilya Knyazhuk also relied on a similar outfit, pleasing those present with a lyrical sensual production.

But still, there were more dynamic bright numbers. So, Ksenia Sinitsyna literally tore up the hall, appearing on the ice in the image of Uncle Fyodor's mother from Prostokvashino. She came out in a white knitted sweater, a big hat with earflaps of the same color, and with skis in her hands, and danced to "If there were no winter." In the end, Ksenia threw a snowball into the stands, and one of the fans managed to catch it.

No less emotions were evoked by Gumennik's program to the composition "Winter" by Eduard Khil. The melody was greeted with applause by all those present and did not stop applauding until the very end of the performance.

But, of course, Kamila Valieva attracted the most attention. Even before the start of the demonstration, it intrigued the fans. So, Maxim Trankov promised that she would have a new number. At the press conference, the athlete herself avoided answering the question of what music she would choose.

The Olympic champion appeared on the ice wearing headphones. According to the script, she chose songs from her own playlist and tried to skate to them. Several popular tracks were played, in particular, "Winter in the Heart" by My Michelle. A minute later, "Pyyala" "Aigel", the soundtrack of the sensational series "The Word of the Boy. Blood on the asphalt."

The audience greeted her with a satisfied roar. Then the figure skater skated to applause. She not only got used to the character amazingly, but also performed a wonderful jump, and also pleased with gorgeous spins. In addition, Valieva once again pleased with her ability to adapt to modern trends.

After that, it was difficult for the rest of us to surprise the arena. Nevertheless, there was a place for a few more interesting rentals. Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky skated in the already familiar costumes of Batman and Catwoman. And Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva and Yegor Bazin performed to the composition "Tornado" by Anatoly Tsoi. Curiously, this program was staged together with the singer.

Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin presented a new production of "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine. According to the script, the partner played the role of a girl tired of life, and the young man played her guardian angel. And Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Galliamov delighted local sports fans by performing a number about Chelyabinsk in T-shirts "I love Chelyabinsk".

Petrosyan, on the other hand, took to the ice twice. At first, she helped Evgeny Semenenko. He showed the program with which he had already performed in the show tournament. The reigning national champion acted as a puppeteer, and the winner of the women's tournament was his puppet.

Then, as part of her own performance, she put on a white dress with blue edging and delighted everyone with a brilliant slope with stunning elements and choreography. Finally, the silver medalist Sofia Muravyova, appearing on the stage in the image of a white swan, presented to the audience one of her own parts from Evgeny Plushenko's ice show "Swan Lake".
